Urgent - goalie needed for next season's U9s

Due to a last minute change, Crosspool urgently need to recruit a goalkeeper for next season's Under 9s squad (must be Year 4 in September). Anyone interested contact the team manager Steve Wilson on 07870 809151.

AGM

  1. Annual General Meeting

    The 2009 AGM will be held at CDYST, Coldwell lane on Sunday June 21 4-5.30.

    The draft agenda is as follows


    Agreements of minutes of 2008 meeting.
    Treasurer’s report,
    Boys’ secretary’s report
    Girls’ secretary’s report
    Chairman’s report
    Club Welfare Officer’s report
    Election of officers,
    A proposal for constitutional change,
    New season information for managers
    signing on details for their players for next season
    pitch/training allocation


    Any items for the agenda should be sent to Randal before the 14th June.

Presentation night - Friday 24th April 2009

Here are more details for the running of the presentation night. As you can see, there is a lot of work for the managers to do to make this a successful event.

* We still need volunteers to help on the night, please contact Steph (at) iomwebs(dot) net if are willing to sell raffle tickets, set up before the night and/or take it all down again.
* If any of the sponsors wish to sponsor this particular event, let me know asap.
* I will arrange a running projection of whatever photos, videos, season summaries, are supplied to me by 17th April.
* DEphotos will be taking team photos. The plan is to do this away from the stage this year, so we don't take up 'stage'time asking the players to smile!!

The running order is

5.30 manager arrive (1st session teams) to unpack, sort out and check the trophies for their team. Hand in raffle prize.

1st session - u9g,u9b,u10g,u10b,u11g,u12b,
6pm arrive
6.30pm presentation starts

6.30 manager arrive (2nd session teams) to unpack, sort out and check the trophies for their team. Hand in raffle prize.
2nd sessions- u13g,u13b,u14b,u15b,u16b,u18b

7pm arrive
7.30pm presentation starts

There will be a raffle with the draw planned for about 7.30 and a good first prize.

The main focus this year is on teams socialising and enjoying just being together celebrating their seasons efforts.

This is the last year I (Steph) will be helping to organise the event, so proposals from volunteers in other teams will be required for next year, if you want something different; step up and make it happen :)

Presentation night - Friday 24th April 2009

Presentation night is at the Crookes Working Men's Club, on Mulehouse Road, Crookes. Further details will follow.

The Sony Campaign Awards is a competition for amateur photographers whose passion is football. The award is looking for people to submit a single image that ‘captures the beauty and spirit of football in unexpected places.’ The image should look beyond the typical action shots featured on the sport every year and aim to capture the magic, celebration, culture and phenomenon that is football.

By entering the Sony Campaign Awards you could be in with a chance of winning two tickets to a 2010 World Cup game, as well as a number of unique money can’t buy unique prizes, including a chance to be a photographer in one of Sony’s future campaigns.

Raffle winners

The Christmas raffle was drawn on Sunday. The lucky prize winners were

U9 boys - £50 voucher

M Howson (U10 boys) - perfume (he'll smell nice for the rest of the season !!!)
J. Bell (u13 boys) - toiletries

The raffle raised over £700 this year and is becoming a regular feature on the Crosspool calendar.
